Cheval des Andes, the union of France and Argentina

Cheval des Andes has the privilege of being born from a joint venture between the great Chateau Cheval Blanc and an Argentine winery at the forefront of high-altitude wines, Terrazas de los Andes, to which the Chateau gave part of its name. Cheval des Andes honors this privilege and is proof of the trust in its terroirs and the winery. Château Cheval Blanc is located in Saint Emilion, in the wine region of Bordeaux (France). Likewise, Terrazas de los Andes was opened in 1999, after restoring an old Spanish- style winery from 1898. Cheval des Andes is the evolution of a unique combination between the quality of Bordeaux´s “Premier Grand Cru” Cheval Blanc and the best Argentine terroir that includes its Malbec from 1929. The result of such magical encounter is a refined, subtle and complex Grand Cru of the Andes, destined to become a New World’s icon wine. October 31, 2012 by Maria Jose Merino
